Local Book Club Service
If you are part of a local book discussion group or want to start your own group...We can help.
At your next book discussion meeting, give yourselves an identifying name and choose a contact person. Then have that person call or email your names and your library card numbers to the second floor Information Desk (630-279-8696). We will keep your information in a database and request books for all of your members at one time.
Once we have your group on file, your contact person can call or email (reference@elmhurst.org) the name of your group, the title of your chosen book, and the date of your next discussion. We will be happy to obtain books for all of you. Each person will receive an individual call or email when his or her copy is at the library and ready for pickup. You will usually be able to check them out until after your discussion.
Don’t forget to review the list of Past Book Discussion Titles* for suggestions (see link below). We often have up to ten copies of each title available for immediate checkout. We can send them to the drive up window for each of you.
